Something About Rocks featuring cover star Simon Peg

We were absolutely delighted to host this recent editorial shoot for Something About Rocks magazine, Issue 17 featuring the brilliant Simon Pegg. Having followed Simon’s work since the early days of Spaced, it was a real pleasure to welcome him into our location house.

This editorial was shot in our South Wing, a distinctive East London location hire space set within a former industrial building in Hackney. Known for its characterful interiors, the studio blends a warehouse loft feel with a rich, layered aesthetic, featuring antique furniture, decorative screens, oriental textiles, and our signature textured green walls.

The styling for this shoot was particularly striking: beautifully tailored suiting paired with the most exquisite designer jewellery and watches, creating a refined, quietly confident look. What worked so well was how these luxurious textures—brocade tailoring, polished metals, and intricate jewels sat effortlessly within the space. The depth and patina of the interiors really allowed the styling to come to life on camera.

With its mix of decorative detail and textured finishes, the South Studio sits comfortably between feminine and masculine aesthetics. This makes it well suited to a wide range of styling approaches, in this case, supporting an elegant, masculine look while still retaining warmth and richness.
